In the spirit of doing new things before fixing broken things (a terrible habit - don’t do this!), THW has made an account at Ream Stories [you don’t have to pay - but they do make you join - ignore the paid tiers and scroll down to find the free stories]. They set up a few years ago, claiming to be a subscriber platform that is on the side of authors, and also pretty freedom oriented (if you were around a while ago, you may remember that THW got shut down on Substack for ‘content rules violation’).
This time, I asked the Ream people to check this site out first, and they said they have no problem with the content (though I will keep it more chill there than here).
As before, there will be no change here - most new stuff will still go here. Content that goes up as exclusive (paid) on Ream will end up here after a while.
The impetus for the Ream account is that I wrote a story which has a little bit more of a ‘romance’ feel to it that is normal here, and was not sure if it would fit here. The first chapter of “Clyde and Colette - the Journey” is over at Ream for free - so you can tell me if I’m wrong!
Anyway, anyone who is desperate (desperate, I tell you!) to suport THW with a little cash can subscribe at Ream and not miss a thing. But as I say, everything will end up here eventually - even paid private commissions, which are possible on Ream (not holding my breath).
