I’ve been doing a fair bit with AI for a while - images and code. But I’ve always had to stay away from written content - the models have all said they won’t help, and some threatened to delete my access when they read my stuff.
But I tried again, and - while I don’t much like Elon, a commitment to free expression is not a bad thing.
Grok will go as deep and dirty as I want it to - while remaining politely and neutrally helpful.
So, if you want one of my stories to go a different way, try giving what I wrote to Grok, and saying ’like this with more apple fudge sundae’ (or whatever your fancy).
You still need imagination and a writing style, though - even when I have made Grok analyse my style, and give me a really surprisingly strong rundown on what that is, it can’t reproduce it - not to my low standards, anyway.
And it doesn’t do juicy plot twists, or shocking revelations, just doubles down on what it knows.
So you do still need me - assuming you like what you read here.
I’ve said before that I will publish other authors here, if they want. And that applies to versions of my stories.
